Waterbird Census Neotropical Environments

share this information on Neotropical Waterbird Census, which comes from Aves Argentinas - AOP by Claudia D'Acunto, Membership Coordinator. This is an initiative of Wetlands International which is a program of long-term monitoring and is based on counts semester (February and July) of waterbirds in a number of wetlands South America performed by volunteers.

share with you as advance the Protocol Neotropical Waterbird Census (two attached) to be held from 3 to 18 July next. In brief they write to see if it is possible to visit some specific sites that are of great interest.
The idea is to organize time and add more sites and not overlap in the same place. That is, avoid areas where staff census place (this occurs mostly
Reserves established as such), have already registered for the census, in the last edition we have seen important sites have been no census, and we need to know if species in these places are or not, ie we aim to confirm or not the presence in certain places, where they do not know with certainty "that is going on." Already
thank you very much!

Clau!
